Opened in April 2017 by Chef/Owner Anzan Tamang, Sapporo Japanese Restaurant Kathmandu is located at the end of a quiet lane in Baluwatar. Relax in our shady, peaceful garden during warm summer days and evenings, or guests can choose traditional Japanese seating as well as standard tables and chairs. Private rooms and parties are available by reservation; reservations / advance orders will receive priority in the kitchen as we aim to provide the best possible experience for all of our guests, family and friends.
Chef prepares authentic, seasonal Japanese cuisine, made fresh to order, just for you. Everyone agrees it’s worth the wait; come taste the difference! Known for homemade noodles, fresh daily – never dried, never frozen – slurp up extraordinary flavours: ramen, udon, soba. Chef also makes his own stocks, sauces and dressings “just like home!” Try his sweet & tangy teriyaki, crispy prawn tempura, goma-ae so good you won’t believe it’s healthy. Our menu (available on Facebook) includes dietary restrictions for food preferences and we are an allergen-friendly restaurant.
