Our History

NIEC’s beginnings were humble; we started out from a nondescript location in a suburb – with just 4 rooms on very small premises in Koteshwor, Kathmandu. Our operations, at this stage were restricted to counseling students for entry into UK institutions. Then in 2002, NIEC moved to the newly constructed Share Market Complex. This six-storey, state of the art building is one of the most conspicuous landmarks in the capital and served as a launching pad for several new services and courses. With over 5200 square feet of office space at the new location, NIEC spared no expenses in air-conditioning the entire premises and installing fully equipped Self-access Center, Library, Computer Labs, Classrooms and Administrative blocks.

The growing market awareness about the NIEC brand and the quality of services, reinforced by lavish facilities on board, ensure that the above-mentioned investments are paying off.NIEC continues to be the undisputed market leader in iBT, IELTS, SAT, GRE and GMAT along with PTE and KET. Our Study Abroad division is also the most successful in Nepal with students placed in North America, Europe and Asia. CEO’s Message

Dear Students and Parents,

I am delighted that you have decided to read my address and hope that I meet your expectation in this message. I write this as a Nepali youth who has faced adversity and forged ahead in his quest for high standards. I write this message in the hope that some Nepali students may benefit from my experience as an international student.

It is a challenging task for a Nepali student to stand out in the international student body, but there are many who have done Nepal proud internationally. What is needed is an unwavering focus and unswerving commitment. It actually begins at the very stage you are in as you read this message. No matter what you have done till now, academically and professionally, what you do from now is going to decide your future.

Unwavering focus and unswerving commitment are imperative, as I’ve said before, and without them, you will not be able to do as much as you could have been able to. Talent is a quality in abundance. It’s what you choose to do with your God given gifts that decides who and what you will be in the future. Your greatest resource is yourself, and if utilized properly, this is the most powerful resource in the world. It is important for you to realize your own worth and then decide how to utilize it.

Realizing that you yourself are your most powerful resource is the first step. The choices you make play a huge role too in helping you realize your full potential. A skilled guide, a firm hand, a sophisticated approach that does not forget the basics and most importantly, honest advice are things you need primarily. Choose well today, for you are choosing your tomorrow.
